THE BUILDINGS ARE FAKE, Bard's latest single, is a heartbreak song about the City of Angels. Bard wrote it in the summer 2018 after a visit to Los Angeles as a then first year film student.
Almost four years after writing the song and performing its acoustic version around NYC Bard recorded THE BUILDINGS ARE FAKE at Miner Street Recordings in Philadelphia with producers Brian McTear and Amy Morrissey. It is the first single Bard recorded with her full band, and its sound is reminiscent of the band Pavement and its ‘90s contemporaries.
